About our parish

Our Parish Church, St Pius V, is named after Pope St. Pius V, who was Pope from 1566 to 1572. The Parish itself is named after Our Lady of the Southern Cross.

Following the amalgamation of the parishes of Sts Peter and Paul, Tempe and St Pius V, Enmore in 1990, St Pius V  became the parish church.  The parish was later renamed Our Lady of the Southern Cross and serves both Enmore and Tempe.

The title of Mary of the Southern Cross is one that acknowledges that God has ever been watching over this Great Southern Land of the Holy Spirit.
